I really should be in bed, I have to work tomorrow. It's only for half a day, but that short day starts as early as all the others...
Finished my shopping, baked and decorated more cookies, and made my appetizers for X-mas Eve at the family homestead. Take tortillas. Get some soft cream cheese. Get a can of black olives and a jar of roasted red peppers. Fresh basil, and grated parmesan cheese. Take the parmesan, and put a handful of it into the chopper attachment of a stick blender (or a food processor). Pulverize into even teenier bits. Pulverize the basil. Turn the olives and peppers into mush. Salt to taste. Throw it all into a bowl and mix it up. Spread onto the tortillas, and roll em' up. Wrap in saran wrap, and toss into the fridge for a few hours to firm up. Slice em', put em' on a plate all pretty like, and they'll think you slaved for hours!!! Oh, and they're REALLY GOOD TOO!!!
Hope everyone's X-mas is lovely.

I got the recipie for the tortilla roll-ups out of one of those cookbooks you find at the grocery store check-out stand. "Holiday Appetizers" I think was the name of it. It called for an 8oz package of cream cheese, and I ended up with 12oz, so I just kept on adding extra amounts of everything till it tasted right!
