She's here, taunting me....

I saw her again this morning. I was opening the blinds and there she was, hanging from a thread of silk. THAT DAMN SPIDER!! Hiding, waiting, plotting, biding her time till she can jump out at the right moment and get me. She escaped into the strings before I could kill her. I would have stopped at nothing, but I was running late for work. Dammit!
Tomorrow morning, I'm scheduled for a root canal. Dammit! Dammit! Dammit!!

when I had a root canal, people were gracious enough to share with me that their root canal was the most hideous painful experience of their life. And it was a hideous experience ... the dentist and her hygienist talked about what bars they liked to go dancing at and what bands were hot the entire time. The actual dentistry in a root canal is not very painful, these days; anesthetics are much better than they were when I was growing up.
