Soaking...
Dec. 29th, 2002 01:49 pmFinally took my long-delayed bath last night. It was lovely. And, would you believe- I read almost an entire book!!
For a science fiction fan, I read very little, and I never go to movies. I have a very short attention span for books, if the story doesn't grab me right away, I won't stay. I mostly read short stories. I didn't read science fiction last night, but at least it was a book! I filled up the tub and pulled "A Cook's Tour" by Tony Bourdain off the bookshelf. I bought it last summer, but hadn't gotten around to reading it yet. This guy has a show of the same name on the Food network. He's a tall, chain-smoking, sarcastic, foul-mouthed, hysterically funny chef from New York, travelling the world eating damn near anything. The accompanying book is so funny, I nearly laughed my ass off! I spent the entire night in the tub reading it. I must have started about midnight, and I was still reading at 5:30. Had to replenish the hot water a few times..
