Plague subsiding... slightly...
One whole week away from the office. Today, I ventured outside for the first time all week. Right across the street from my building is a tiny neighborhood grocery store. I picked up a paper, some Pringles, and a thing of bagels. I was in the mood for ice cream, but they didn't have any kind that I liked. Oh well, it's a really small store...
I'm hoping to feel OK enough by tomorrow night to go to a party put on by a local world music DJ. I'd better go drink some more juice..
One of my favorite movies is on right now, the extremely cool "Bullitt" with Steve McQueen. This movie is a treasure for anyone who's ever lived in or near San Francisco. It's a fascinating window into the city's past. It makes me wish I'd spent more time there. The chase scene keeps me riveted every time, trying to figure out where they are, and what each place looks like now, 34 years later. I want to be cool like Steve McQueen...
