I wanted to HEAR them!

It was a cool and foggy day. As I was driving to the store after work, the fog lifted, and the clouds parted a bit. I notice a "V" shaped line of birds flying right overhead. Not geese, as I had first thought, but Sandhill cranes, about 30 of them!! I opened my window, but there was too much traffic. They were flying pretty low, but I just couldn't hear them! Dammitt! They have the coolest voices! I love the sounds they make as they call to each other! They flew into the clouds, and I continued with my errands.

OK, here I go, don't try and stop me, I'm going to the theremin show tonight! I have an outfit picked out, I got cash in case they're selling CD's, dollar bills for the parking ramp, the VCR is all set to tape "ER," plenty of Pepsi on board to keep me from needing my usual mid-evening nap. I'm leaving in an hour, no matter what!
