A beautiful day here....
Mar. 16th, 2003 10:08 pmIt got well into the 60's. I had the priviledge of spending the afternoon with
replyhazy, a well known Busy Person. We had lunch (mmmm.... Culver's....) and chatted for a good long time. I discovered that yes, I am pathetic, but most people have periods in their lives where their friends think they're pathetic, and hopefully, mine won't last forever. Sigh...
We stopped in a store for cat lovers that we've passed by a million times, but it's only open on weekends. The store's resident cat is an incredibly friendly grey, who's name I don't remember hearing. What a sweetie, flopping on the floor, demanding our attention! "Pet me! Pet me NOW! Buy something too!" We went back to my place, where I picked
replyhazy's brain about some computer problems I've been having. LiveJournal keeps giving me error messages, but it isn't my computer's fault! Hooray!
After she left, my mom called, just for the heck of it. She does that. She said she took a nice long walk today, and I should too. I did have to go to the store, so why the heck not! I don't know how far it is to the store, not quite a mile, but it's a very nice walk. I heard a robin, but I didn't see it. I felt SO good when I got home, like I'd done a Good Thing. It doesn't bring me any closer to being un-pathetic, but I felt better.
I did another Good Thing when I got home. I wrote a letter (well, an e-mail) of comment to Kate Yule and David Levine, who recently sent me their fanzine, Bento. I love getting Bento, and I hope to continue getting them, so I figured I'd better say something!
Then I did a Bad Thing. I ate a rather large amount of chocolate ice cream... mmmmmm.....

the grey kitty
Date: 2003-03-17 07:41 am (UTC)It was nice to see you. I did finally get my laundry done when I got home (yay!). And Smokey and Scout "helped" make the bed, always fun.
Now let's see... I ate about 400 calories for dinner to make up for that lunch at Culvers, and you went home and ate more ice cream? You are Evil. So Evil.
Mmmm... Ice cream....
Back to work, see you Weds.
