The Project So Far

Yesterday, Luke and I went out and put all the poetry magnets on the hood of the car.

As soon as I post this, we'll go out and put the rest of the magnets on the car. Turns out that the bumpers and the spoiler are plastic, so the magnets will not stick. While I know this is a temporary installation, I don't plan on leaving the magnets on my car long term, I'm concerned that many of them will fall off before we even get to the event.
Oh well, I won't know until we get started! Maybe I'll have to drive around going ten miles an hour! Wheeee!!

Stuck On You- Hopefully..

Magnet project- mostly complete. I think it looks pretty good, but now I wish I had a million more magnets! Many that I have are pretty weak, they'll go on tomorrow, once we get to the fair. I was worried that things would come off the doors when we open and close them, but after numerous tests, things seem to be sticking pretty well. Driving it is another matter, of course.
It also became apparent as we got going that this is going to totally ruin the finish on my car, but I'm OK with that. It's 13 years old, it's got plenty of wear and tear on it. I certainly won't ever sell it. Carbata will be my baby till she falls apart.
