Spring Stuff
Apr. 27th, 2009 08:11 pmFinished Battlestar Galactica season 4.0. The rest of the season that was just shown on broadcast TV will probably not be available till late fall for rental. Bummer. We really enjoyed it. The only thing I didn't like about it is the word "frak". I HATE made-up swear words! I'm a big fan of swearing in general, and I would suggest to all television show creators that if swear words are an important part of the dialog, then put your show on a network that allows swearing! Don't make up stupid fake words instead!
The heart issues are improving, the sleep issues are not. Currently at Fishdom level 5112, $299,675,711. If only Fishdom dollars were real dollars...
Went through closets yesterday, tried on every dress and pair of pants I own. Got rid of a bunch of things. Today, after going to the gym, I went to the locker to pull out two boxes of clothes. One marked "summer" and the other "jeans, too fat for". I really don't need to save stuff I know I'll never be able to wear again. Brought home other boxes I can sort, winnow and combine.
Having some mixed feelings about Wiscon. I suggested a panel, one that ran last year. They didn't take my sugestion, but they're running one with a similar subject matter. I wanted to be on that and they didn't ask me. I don't know why I'm so pissed about it. I'm not any sort of expert about it, I just wanted to be on that panel.
I won't be running the bakesale anymore. The person who took over asked me (indirectly) about something, and I ignored it. I'm pissed about some bakesale things, too, but I couldn't even put into words why. All I know is I'll either be sleeping, or at the farmer's market Saturday morning. The new bakesale gal is on her own to sink or swim. I'm sure she'll do fine, though.
I will focus my energies on the LiveJournal party. We're moving to Friday night in a bigger suite. Really looking forward to it.
I go read Facebook several times a day, but I never post there. Now the super-great new thing is apparently called Dreamwidth. All the things it's supposedly better at, aren't things that are a problem for me here on LJ. But if everyone and their dog migrates over I'm sure I'll go too, eventually.
