The Heart Problem: Swedish Hospital in Ballard just opened a new clinic for low-income people. I joined and saw a doctor last Friday. This new clinic is something different, a flat fee of $45 a month gives me hour-long appointments with doctors who actually listen, and access to many basic diagnostic tests. The doctor really went in depth with me about the various issues I have, and bloodwork will determine if my heart problem is caused by one of two possible things. Never in my life have I gone to a doctor and had them spend so much time with me, and never have I had the sense that they really cared and wanted to find out what was wrong. I may have an answer soon.
BSG: Season 2.5, finished disc 2 tonight, will watch disc 3 tomorrow. My questions, if anyone wants to answer them, great. Really, I like spoilers.
*How did the cylon held on Pegusus move through the ship, kill Admiral Cain, and then get to where she's hiding now? Dr. Baltar supposedly helped her, how could he possibly not have been seen with her? Getting on and off a ship with her?
*How did Admiral Cain know Dr. Baltar? Is that ever revealed?
*Is Ellen Tigh a cylon? Or just a worthless, raging bitch? Or both...?
*Does Dr. Baltar ever get control of #6? Does he ever stand up to her?
*Why the hell doesn't anyone question the sanity of Dr. Baltar? Geez, if our vice president was found masturbating in his office, and talked incessantly to invisible people in public places, you think someone would fucking SAY something.
*Had the original Boomer been a cylon all her life? Or was she taken at some point and made into one?
Wiscon: I'm miffed that I didn't get asked to be on the one and only panel I wanted to be on. I think it's because my views on the subject are controversial.
And I'm absolutely FURIOUS at the prospect that we may not be able to make our hotel reservations for the following year till after the convention is through. Making my reservations right there at the con is a huge, huge convenience for me, and I understand that some people are crying that it's somehow elitist for anyone to be able to do that. If that convenience goes away, I will be unbelievably pissed.
I have a new, very inexpensive medication that supposed to help with my insomnia. Doesn't seem to be working yet, though. All I feel right now, is cranky....
