Sep. 16th, 2008 10:47 pmI'm certain we'll be ready for the movers Friday morning. I've taken non-essential kitchen and bathroom stuff over to the new place, as well as clothes. With every trip it's looking less and less like a home here in Fremont. We've stopped cooking here, and filled the freezer with TV dinners to save time. The goal is to get everything over to the new place that we can physically take ourselves, leaving only the furniture for the movers.
On Monday, we went and opened new bank accounts at a credit union. It was a huge hassle, but we both feel better for having done so. I'm sure I'll find something else to worry about soon enough.
Wednesday morning, I'm having my eyes examined for the first time in five years. I'm wearing the same glasses I've worn since 2003. I'm in dire need of a new prescription, and I can't put it off any longer. It's getting hard to read.
After my appointment, I get to wander the streets with dilated pupils. Far out, man...
