Is My Birfday..
Jul. 10th, 2008 02:39 pmI'm 43.
I'm trying to take the day off from worrying. We'll see how that goes. All the nice birthday wishes I've recieved on LJ help! Thank you!
Luke took the day off to go to a doctor's appointment. His MRI showed that he has a fully functional brain, and his hearing loss is not caused by stroke or tumor. It's just hearing loss, and possibly Menieres disease.
He just got home, and he bought me "Blades of Glory" and "Rescue Me" season 4. Yay!
Earlier, I posted to the Wiscon concom list about the bakesale. It's very likely the hotel will shut the bakesale down and I'm fine with that. If they don't, changes will have to happen that may make the bakesale unrecognizable from what we know today. I don't want to run the bakesale under strict new conditions (even though we don't yet know exactly what they'll be), and I don't want to watch someone else run the bakesale, either. It's mine, dammitt! OK, now I'm just being silly about it...
I want to retire the bakesale, and retire as bakesale queen. 16 years is a good long run at most anything. The Tiptree award has really taken off to the point that the bakesale doesn't bring in a huge amount of money for it anymore.
I'll have to post a follow-up to the Wiscon list later...
Right now, we're going to jump in the shower, take a nice walk, then I'm going to pick an Indian restaurant for dinner. Cuz it's mah birfday...
