Gotta Make Myself Scarce...
Jul. 8th, 2008 03:08 pmMost days, I spend at home, cruising around LJ, surfing Craigslist for jobs, watching YouTube videos, playing Peggle, and just being very housewifey and domestic. Monday, there was a notice posted on every door that this Wednesday, they would be testing the fire alarm. As in, sometime between 8am and 3pm, the *painfully* loud alarm would be going off randomly for 10-15 minutes at a time. Recent events prove that the alarm already works really fucking well!! But it's a city requirement. They did it last summer, Luke and I were both home at the time and we just went out for a long walk till it was over. I felt so bad for all the pets who were home alone during the noise while their owners were at work.
Tomorrow, I have to find something to get me out of the apartment. I'm thinking of treating myself to breakfast at the Dish, and after that, who knows? I'm due for a shopping trip to Value Village, but that won't take all day. The Wallingford farmer's market doesn't start till 3:00. Hmm...
Last night, I was in the mood for cake, so I made one. It's my birthday this Thursday, and I wanted some cake around. There's a pretty good chance I won't eat the whole thing by Thursday..
A person really shouldn't have cake batter for dinner, but there you go...
In avian news, the swallows that nest in a drain pipe outside our kitchen window have successfully raised two babies. They are now large enough to poke their little heads out of the pipe and cheep constantly for food. So cute!!
