Rainbows...
Oct. 2nd, 2005 09:01 pm6-ish, Sunday, as usual, we're in the office. The phone rings, startling us out of our reverie. It's Vonda N. McIntyre, science fiction author and all-around nice lady, who also just happens to be our next-door neighbor. "Rainbow!" We all dash outside, and it's a nice one! Full and bright, it seems to take up most of the sky. Vonda joins us on our porch, and we enjoy and admire it until it fades away...
Practical things tomorrow, a trip to the DMV is in order. On buying a Seattle guidebook for the newly arrived, I discover that I have thirty days to register my car and get a new drivers license upon establishing residence in this fair state. I'm kinda pissed, I just renewed my WI license last year, and it's perfectly good until 2012. But then again, maybe the picture will be better this time....
