What I remember of it anyway... Monday has already faded from memory.

Tuesday was kinda long and trying. First thing in the morning I saw that my friends page was temporarily busted due to one of those damn quizzes, and that pissed me off. I didn't get home for lunch that day. One of the gals at work was celebrating 35 years with our company, and they brought in pizza for everybody. Now, free pizza is a good thing, and I wasn't about to pass it up, but that meant not going home for lunch, which makes the day very, very long. I left work, and had maybe 20 minutes before it was time to head downtown for class. I needed to get there before the registration office closed, so I could sign up for the Intermediate Word class, which starts July 11th. Traffic sucked, but I made it, signed up, paid, and I'm good to go. I'll actually miss the first class on the 11th, as I'll be on an airplane returning from Seattle, but the teacher said it wouldn't be a problem. After class I was hungry, I picked up a sub, and got home around 9:30. I watched the last half of "Rescue Me" and then [livejournal.com profile] holyoutlaw called. We were talking about the cat and I started to cry. With all the angst and running around of the day, I couldn't hold it back. It's such a sad thing to think about, and I think about it every time I look at her. I feel like the worst pet owner in the world, but I don't have any other choice. [livejournal.com profile] holyoutlaw just listened and let me blubber on and on.

Wednesday was better. I stopped in at the landlord's office to pay rent and I talked to the folks there for a while. In regards to subletting, I was pleased to hear that they get frequent calls asking if they have vacancies in my building. It's a hot property and I know it'll be easy finding someone to sublet when the time comes. I mentioned looking into alternatives to movers and having found a website for something called UPack. They deliver a trailer to your home, you pack it, they pick it up and move it. Unfortunately, the size and layout of the parking lot where I live would mean one of those trailers would take up several parking spots. Special permission would be needed, but they said it wasn't out of the question by any means. After that, I took Carbata in for a long overdue oil change. I rushed home, tidied up a bit, and [livejournal.com profile] rdkeir came over to look at my two computers. How much stuff I had, where it was stored, and what parts would be needed to make the transfer of info from old to new. Both of us being busy this week and next, it'll get done after I return from Seattle.

Thursday, I was tired and worn out and I thought about blowing off my final Excel class. I don't get it, why bother? But I went, and I'm glad. We covered some things that actually made a bit of sense. It almost made me want to come home, open it up on my computer and try to make something...... almost....
Thursday was [livejournal.com profile] holyoutlaw's birthday. Wish I could have been there to help him celebrate!

More Thursday, slightly scary TMI... )

So here we are on Saturday, my eye looks much better. I've got stuff to do in the kitchen, and I'll probably make one more trip to the store for some things I forgot. It looks beautiful outside. I'll be able to see the fireworks from my window tonight. No need to go anywhere near the mayhem of Warner Park.
