Stuff I could do...
Jan. 10th, 2004 02:45 pmIt is once again the weekend, and I have absolutely not one single solitary thing to do outside my home. The things I could do INSIDE my home are limitless, but it's anyone's guess as whether any of them will get done. Things that need doing are:
* Scoop catbox and sweep up catsand.
* Scrub sink, tub and mirror.
* Hand-wash good sweater, hang to dry.
* Empty clean dishes from dishwasher, fill with dirty dishes currently in sink.
* Tie up several months worth of newspapers and take to recycle bin outside. Three flights of stairs, no elevator. Big job. Multiple trips. Been avoiding it.
* Vaccuum. Maybe dust a little.
* Go through 200 CD's, make some new tapes for listening to in the car.
* Repair seams in two pairs of ancient leggings worn only around the house.
* Reconcile weeks and weeks of receipts.
* Sort through stacks of papers, toss, file, shred, etc..
* Sort through recent photos, send copies to people as promised.
* Send e-mails to folks I really want to stay in touch with.
* Take DVD player Whump sent me out of the box, and see if it works.
If I get even one of these projects done over the weekend, I'll feel like I accomplished something.
One good thing I did last week was finally go ice skating. Thursday after work, I drove past a nearby park, and saw that a few people were skating, even though the City park's
web site said that the warming houses weren't open yet. It was about 20 degrees and not too windy, so I went home and got my skates. It felt really good to get out on the ice, if only for 45 minutes or so. I was so anxious to get out there, I forgot to stretch out a bit before hand. I'm really sore today, but no regrets...
