Another weekend under the belt...

Saturday, I went to a backyard party at a friend's house. Storms threatened all afternoon, but seemed to pass on all sides of us. Had a lovely time. Later, I picked up Bonnie, and we went out dancing. It was kind of funny this time, there were two college boys, one pointed at me, then his friend shimmied over and started to dance with me. I bet the one guy dared his friend to go dance with the "old lady." Kind of annoying, but we still had a good time. If nothing else- it's great excercise! Next PanAfrica dance is August 16th..

I've now exchanged several e-mails with the guy from the online dating site. He sent me a photo. He's cute. Darn cute. Assures me he's not an axe murderer...

I got a few things done today, unlike last Sunday. I never went anywhere, but I got laundry done, cleaned the catbox, put away clean dishes, and took out trash. I tried out my new rice cooker. Yep, it cooks rice all right.. I sense more stir-fry's ahead! Mmmm...

My friend Elliott called to tell me of a medical records job opening he heard about. It's at a place where he volunteers a few days a month. Actually, I applied there a year ago, and was about to be interviewed, but the person who was leaving decided not to go at the last minute. Days later, I got the offer for the job I have now. I plan to apply, maybe they'll remember that they wanted to interview me before..
