Good thing I work in a dentist's office...

Yesterday afternoon, I suddenly notice a gigantic gaping hole in one of my fangs. (The "eye" tooth on the left side.) It didn't hurt for some reason, which was good. I asked one of the gals at the front desk to check if anyone had any openings. Being a holiday week, only three of our seven docs are working. Luckily, Dr. R. had a spot for me this morning. His assistant snapped a quick x-ray and said "yep, that's a big hole! You sure it doesn't hurt?" I'd rather have seen Dr. D, my regular guy, but he is one of the vacationers this week. Dr. R. is younger than me, and therefore not as experienced in dealing with dental chickenshits such as myself. I did OK though, novacain is such lovely stuff...
I have totally used up my dental benefits for the year with this filling. If anything else need work, it'll have to come out of my own pocket. Since I drink lots of soda, chew gum, and never, ever floss, I'd say it's only a matter of time... I'm lucky to even still have teeth in the first place!
So, that was my eventful morning, lunch was understandably...soft...

Lots of stuff has gone on the last week, but it seems I'm doing that "fall asleep on the couch" thing every evening, instead of posting on LJ. I just hope that nobody drops me from their friends list because I rarely write comments. I love reading everybody who lets me into their lives.
