So, [livejournal.com profile] polyfrog adds me, and I add him back. (We've met, right? I'm sure we must have met at some point!) I look at a couple of his friends pages to see if I know them, and I come across a community for childfree people. A very intense and vocal group of people who don't want to have children. I join it. I look at some of the related websites, there is an international Childfree social club for singles and couples, but sadly, no chapter in Madison. There is even a dating site, but no members in Wisconsin. I might sign up anyway though, you never know...
I'm thrilled to find like-minded people, LOTS of them, and cursing my slow connection as I take in all this new information!
It's Friday night, nearly midnight, and the phone rings. It's [livejournal.com profile] spikeiowa! Just the person I wanted to talk to! We caught up and went over plans for Corflu and Wiscon. It was well after 1:00 when we finally hung up. I needed that.

I made a second attempt at roasting garlic, this time I used more, baked it longer, and at a higher temperature. Needless to say, it turned out better, and once again, I am utterly unkissable!

I have no idea. I assume so...
We will in a few weeks, at any rate :)

Roasting garlic? Mmm. And as I wrote before. Bad cooking can at least be thrown away, but bad architecture is much harder to dispose of.

Garlic and architecture...

I liked the username quotes, they all seemed to make sense, at least for the people I know.
I don't think I've produced any bad architecture, unless you count some mud sculptures I made as a kid...
My next garlic experiment will be to try to find those extra large bulbs that are better for roasting. They should have more flavor than the plain grocery store variety. Mmmm...

If you met at Wiscon - Julie ran the bake sale. Erik brought his Legos to the con suite for everyone to play with.

Only other time you might've met was at a party in the big apt. after Nigel moved in. Julie (and others) drove down for it.

This coming WisCon there's the bake sale, as well as the LJ party. Be there.
Aloha!
