Full Sticky Note

I've filled a sticky note with things I could mention that might turn into a real LJ post.

*Last post: I appreciate the supportive comments. When two people got upset and started arguing, I panicked and didn't say anything more. Ask me at Wiscon if you want to know who made the disparaging remarks last year.

*Facebook gets more evil every day. But I'm still reading it. I try to minimize the possibility of having evil done to me by never "liking" anything, not joining any other groups (I only belong to Cakewrecks), never playing the games and only rarely following links from there.

*Poor Luke has been without his computer since Tuesday. He took it in for some maintenance, and it's taken far longer than expected. He can use my computer, but it's not the same. My computer is in the living room with the TV, his is in the back bedroom. He hates when I call it his mancave, but that's really what it is. He hates having the TV on when he's at the computer, so it's worked out great to have his own room away from the TV. It sucks but we are dealing. When his comes back on Monday (hopefully!), then we'll take mine in for maintenance. We'll be bringing it to Wiscon, so it also needs to be looked at. It sucks having such an old laptop- it's bulky and fucking heavy for traveling with!

Luke just returned from his morning school activities, and is jonesing for some online times! Perhaps I'll finish this later. It's insanely gorgeous outside, and I needs me some walkies!

More From The Sticky

Luke has had his internets, so now I can continue... ok... so...

*Wiscon plans: Fly out late Monday night, arrive Madison Tuesday morning. Two days of family time, check in Thursday. LJ party Friday. I didn't get the party room I wanted, but it'll be alright. Cake, mimosas, stickers, etc..
(I don't know what panels I'll go to, I'm still kinda miffed, and I haven't gone back to look at what panels they have that I might be interested in. In the end, I'll probably still go to far more than I did when I ran the bakesale.) We'll be at Wiscon till Tuesday, check out, one more night with folks. Laundry and mom-food, yay! Wednesday, bus to Chicago, family times with Luke's sisters. They are lovely people. Hopefully squeeze in a visit with Nigel, and possibly a cousin of mine who lives in the area. Leave Saturday evening.

*LJ photos: LJ continues to confound me by not letting me upload photos in order. In my everyday gallery, there are nine pages with 16 photos each, it's harder to find the new ones when they are stuck in completely at random. Maybe I should start a new gallery, can I upload the same pictures into it? Can a picture be in more than one gallery?

*On Facebook a while ago, a friend said she was putting on her Adventure Pants. She didn't elaborate on exactly what she was going to be doing, but Luke and I both loved the phrase. Adventure Pants! I was in dire need of new Adventure Pants, because I was down to having only one pair of jeans that fit. Shopping still annoys the hell out of me, but Value Village fixed me up. I found five pairs of jeans (that fit!) and a pair of dress pants. I was dismayed to find I've gone up yet another size, but hey, new Adventure Pants- YAY!

*Yesterday, Luke and I went to the computer place, they had said it *might* be ready by 5:30. It wasn't, so we walked around the old neighborhood a bit. Saw a tiny hummingbird just a few feet away. So cute! Ate Thai food, yum. Then drove to Fremont so Luke could see an LJ friend who had photos on display for the Art Walk. She was set up in the jewelry store where we got our wedding rings. Anytime we go there, we can get our rings cleaned for free, so we enjoyed the art, and got a clean and polish! Soooo very sparkly now! Then we walked around a bit, and ran into lara7 and some other art car people. I'd forgotten that they planned to have a few cars on display to coincide with the Art Walk. It was nice suprise, and we got some unexpected social time.

OK, Luke gets my computer again...
