Hair: Still Awesome..
Jun. 19th, 2008 11:02 pmAs the lady was finishing up with it yesterday , I knew I wouldn't be able to duplicate how she was shaping it to perfection with a blow-dryer and delightfully scented hair products. Today after washing- it just looks short. But with some asymmetrical choppy-ness that I kind of like...
My e-mail is not so awesome today. I had no trouble with the internet this morning, but I could not send e-mail. I could recieve it, but not send any. Very odd.. First call was to Comcast. We did some things with Tools, checking and unchecking boxes. Didn't fix it. Said it was probably something with my e-mail provider.
Next call was to TDS. I've had my e-mail address since 2001, and I'm very attached to it. When I moved from Madison to Seattle, I found out I could pay TDS a nominal yearly fee to keep my same e-mail address. It seems kind of silly, but like I said, I'm attached to it.
I spent nearly an hour on the phone with the tech, trying to figure out why this was happening. He said they'd had some problems today, but nothing that affected individual e-mail accounts. Did some more tweaking of tools, settings, security, etc. He asked me if I was using Vista. (I'm not.) I couldn't get into the TDS website for my e-mail either. It's like I've been wiped from existence. Yet, when I open Outlook, new e-mail still comes in. Tech guy was stumped, said he'd pass my case to a higher-up, and gave me a case number to check back with later. One thing I've always liked about TDS is that whenever I call with a problem (which hardly ever happens at all!), they're wonderful about customer service. They never make me feel like an idiot for not knowing stuff. Another reason I've stayed with them so long. I had other things to do this afternoon and evening, so I didn't call them back today. I'll get back to it in the morning.
My e-mail could be well and truly borked for reasons we may never figure out. In which case, I'll need a new e-mail provider. One that will dump e-mail directly into my Outlook box. Any recommendations?
