A Month Passes...
Feb. 12th, 2007 10:49 pmI haven't posted in a month, so I should post something....
*Something*
Heh, hilarity ensues, I know. Lots of little things have gone on, nothing post-worthy. I've been kind of down, not weather related, just circumstance. I feel terribly isolated, yet in many ways I chose to be. Sort of stuck, not keeping in touch with people, not supporting friends who need it, ignoring Wiscon things. If I ignore the Wiscon coordinator much longer, they may give the bakesale to someone else, and that isn't what I want. I just haven't found the wherewithal to answer her now-two-week-old e-mail.
I do read LJ, as always, so I haven't missed anything, I've just "gone silent" as they say in that West Wing episode.
In the "Good Things" department:

fringefaan and Denys over for dinner, and it was really nice. Entertaining at home- in very small groups- is something I want to do more of.
*Luke and I have started on some very (and I mean *very*) low impact stretches and exercises, and we've only missed a few nights since starting several weeks ago. Feels good to be doing that.
*We went to the Seattle Travel Show, in hopes of gathering information for a trip we want to take this summer to celebrate Luke's 50th birthday. We want to take a small-ship cruise to Alaska. We had a lot of fun at the show, and came home with a ton of brochures!
*Potlatch is coming up. I very much look forward to seeing friends from the Bay Area.
"Mixed Good and Bad Things":
*Luke will have his photos hanging at Cupcake Royal for a few weeks. Many people will see them there, and that kind of exposure is a good thing, however, the art coordinator at Cupcake Royal treated Luke pretty much like crap, so that kind of sucks.
*I like the new chiropractor I'm seeing. She's inexpensive, sympathetic, and explains what she's doing. Still, she hurts me, and she's pretty adamant about having me try holistic things, and I'm so not gonna go there...
*I've discovered miracles and wonders on YouTube. Music videos from my past (we all know how much I love the past). However, the ones I like are being yanked off by MTV/VH1 as soon as I rediscover them.
"Bad Things":
*Another root canal. Maybe my fourth, I've lost count. This one took so long the anesthetic started to wear off before they were finished. Ow. Even suckier was paying $1400 out of pocket for it.
*My heart pounds almost painfully hard, for no reason I can figure, on a fairly regular basis. I should probably call the doc...
*Butter the rat died a couple weeks ago. I'm kinda surprised she even bothered to tell us.
