Luke just did my taxes, I'm getting money back for the first time in years. Every cent of it will most likely go towards dental work I desperately need. I've never done my own taxes, anything to do with math makes me run screaming. My dad always did my taxes, then Whump did ours when we were married. Now I have Luke. He is not afraid of math, nor TurboTax, so I'm set. He will be thoroughly rewarded for his kindness. Dessert will be involved.
I went to the DMV yesterday afternoon, and got a new drivers license with my new name. The picture still isn't great, but it's better than the last one! Then I went to the bank, and changed the name on my account.
Wednesday was an absolutely beautiful day, Luke and I both accomplished many things on our "to do" lists, and we got in a nice walk to the store as well. A tasty dinner, a hot bath, who needs to go on a honeymoon? I was going to go back to the temp job Wednesday, but I called them on Tuesday and asked if they wouldn't mind if I came back next Monday instead. They agreed, and I'm really glad. Our colds are mostly gone and we're really enjoying our first married week together.
Today, I did laundry, puttered in the kitchen, and set up my new desk, which is actually an old desk of F.M. Busby's, that Elinor was getting rid of. It's a nice little desk, and it gives us more room up here in the office. All the paper that was spread out on the card table I was using for a desk before, can now be put into actual drawers! That's progress, I tell ya!
