It's Called Uwajimaya...

A rather large Asian grocery store south of downtown. I could have spent all day there. We stocked up on interesting sauces and spices, all the while searching for the elusive Tiger-Tiger, which is a brand name of a line of Asian and Indian sauces that I love. I've only found them at Cost Plus, home of cheap, tacky imported crap, much like Pier 1, but with a fun food section. I brought four jars of butter chicken sauce with me from Madison, I've already used two of them, and I may well need to have someone send me more if I can't find them here. holyoutlaw and I were going to check out the Cost Plus somewhere not far from Uwajimaya, but it was closing in on rush hour by the time he finally dragged me out of the grocery store. Next trip south...


So there we were, going up and down the aisles of bizarre and facinating foods. Some looked delicious, others looked terrifying. I was expecting more of a candy section, but I still managed to find some totally twisted snacks. Currently, I'm enjoying some Hello Kitty strawberry marshmallows. The artificial strawberry scent is obnoxious, holyoutlaw had to crack a window when I first opened the bag on the drive home! Soft little strawberry flavored marshmallow pillows, with a liquid strawberry center.... mmmm.... Bought some other flavors, too...
Once I get some more photo lessons in, there will be no stopping me posting pictures of this kind of stuff. (Run! Hide!)


At last Saturday's Vanguard, a friend gave me a card (and a recommendation) for a good temp service. No excuses, I must start calling. Of course, now that I plan on doing so, my car needs some work. Not sure what at this point, but she's sounding very "putt-putty" since we got to Seattle. I should probably have it looked at before I start driving around looking for jobs.


Today is my parents 47th anniversary. Go them! Yay!


And now, I'm going downstairs in search of some salt and protein, because I've had just about as much sugar as anyone needs for one day...
