Shake-up at the office...
Apr. 9th, 2005 02:34 pmNew bosslady is quitting. After only three months, she suddenly decided to take a job that's more like the one she left to come work for us. She told everybody yesterday, and we spent the rest of the day shaking our heads in disbelief. Everybody liked her, unlike evil bosslady from the other clinic, she was pleasant and kind. She got things done, and didn't treat you like a worthless lower life-form when you asked her a question.
Hard to say what's going to happen in the next few weeks, we suspect evil bosslady will spend more time at our clinic while they search for a replacement. I plan on starting to look for a new job immediately. Knowing that it could take months to find a new job, I did make the very selfish move of requesting my time off for Wiscon yesterday, and bosslady approved it. That way, if a new, or evil, boss has a problem with it when the time comes, I can just say, "it was approved months ago- ha!"
And speaking of Wiscon, I need to start getting things together for the bakesale. It's time to gather names from the concom and send out the first e-mail. It's fun when my inbox fills up with people saying "hey- I could make this!" And I say- "yes, please do!"
