"...from the rooftops, shout it out, baby I'm ready to go..."

I have a bunch of things left to do before I head for the Chicago suburbs
Thursday evening. Tonight, I got my nails done, e-mailed my cat-sitter,
tried on my dress (still fits), hand washed a huge pile of things in the
closet that had been sitting there for weeks, and made a list of everything
else left to do. OK, it doesn't sound like I did that much, but it kept me
off the couch! Once again, completely ignored all political activity on TV.
Don't worry, I'll vote when I'm supposed to.

Wednesday, I must remember to get a prescription refilled, pick up a few
more things from the store, and start packing. Thursday, I want to be on the
road as soon after I leave work as possible. Knowing me though, it'll
probably be 6:30 or so before I finally get going. Now, I tend to drive very
fast, and I have something very nice waiting for me when I get there, so
it's anyone's guess as to my actual arrival time in Oak Park, IL. It's all
up to traffic, and how good the Mapquest directions are. I was telling holyoutlaw tonight that I like to have loud, perky music for long
drives. Stuff that keeps me awake and that I can sing to. Not that I can
actually sing, mind you, but that never stopped me before...

Anyway, it's late, and I must survive two more hellish days at the office
before the fun begins. So off to bed I go.... after sending an e-mail to
Seattle... and maybe seeing what's on TV...
