Bad Bata....

OK, so, Wednesday night, I had a craving. Mcdonalds. So bad and yet, once in a great while, so very, very good. I thought about a Big Mac and fries all day, then found myself in the drive-thru after work. Bad Bata... Even though it sometimes disagrees with me, I still eat it. Maybe once a month, tops. The building where I used to work is right next door. Sadly, there are people at my old company who have McDonalds food for lunch every single day. And they have the morbid obesity to prove it. I tip the scales at- hold on, let me go check- 117 pounds, and I hope to keep it that way. But if I have another day like today, I might not. WAY too much snacking going on. A birthday at work led to bagels in the morning, and cake in the afternoon. Mmmmm.... cake.... I had several pieces, and when I got home, I felt no need for dinner.
Must... regain... control....

I finally saw that group Tatu that I've been hearing so much about. Teenage lesbian singing Russians, or something... They turned up on two late-night talk shows this week. I don't know what their story is, but they had a pretty interesting sound. Two girls kissing each other at length onstage is a big draw too, for some. One show censored the kiss, cutting away to a shot of the band. The other show made a big deal of the previous show's censorship, and let the girls grope away. The crowd went wild, of course.

I only heard about Tatu today, and only because they've been mentioned on people on my friends' page. Hah! I figured it involved something sexy because the other guy said he didn't remember the music. Hah!

Mmmmm cake.

Once a month or so, if I'm driving around running errands, I'll go through a drive through and get a supersize bagga frize and a small coke. Yeah! Especially with extra salt.

Yep, their Big Pop Single doesn't suck (but, then, I'm usually a sucker for cheesy techno Europop, so I'm not exactly a connoisseur). And I've heard about The Controversy, but I've still never seen them or the Big Kiss brouhaha. The fact that it's An Act rankles, though.

I made the mistake of bringing chocolate to the office; the woman who regularly brings it is on vacation, so I decided that, given that I raid her jar often enough, I'd take up slack and bring some myself. The problem is that it's in my cube, and thus I raid it far too often. McDonalds has nothing on peppermint patties or milk-chocolate-with-toffee-bits.
