I posted really late last night, and I was getting tired. I figure I could tell the rest of it later, and let that rather depressing entry stand alone. So, Thursday night I finally get back from the nursing home, and I'm curled up on the couch half-asleep watching ER, when the phone rings. It's HIM, Rick, my internet buddy from Florida! I wake up and have a moment of panic, I almost didn't answer, what if I sound like a total dork? Rick didn't seem to think so, and we talk for more than an hour. Usually, I'm the one accused of being too chatty, but Rick was very open and talkative. He was probably as nervous as I was. He seems really nice though, and we have a good deal in common. After one phone call, I can't say that he's my perfect soul mate, I'm not about to jump on a plane to go meet him, but it was just really nice to talk. We'll see where, if anywhere, it goes from here. He called again Saturday morning, but I was asleep. Guess it's my turn to call him...

Tonight, I'm going to hang out with my friend Bonnie, not sure what we're going to do, but it doesn't matter. I was describing Livejournal to her, and she was pretty interested. We might just hang around my place in front of the computer, trying to get her on board.
