(Insert drooling Homer Simpson noises here!) Today, at 3:00 in the afternoon, for no reason that was ever determined, six dozen Krispy Kreme donuts suddenly appeared in the break room at work. As far as I know, the nearest Krispy Kreme store is somewhere outside of Milwaukee. The fact that I'd already eaten a perfectly filling lunch did not stop me from setting upon them like a wild animal and eating far more than was proper. Mind you, I wasn't the only one! They were gone by days end. I think cake and mashed potatoes are the only foods I love more!

The computer seems fine today (knock wood, cross fingers, toss salt over shoulder..), but now I'm paranoid. I need to have a plan of action in case it really does fail on me. I doubt I could afford anything other than someone else's hand-me-down, but when you consider that this machine of mine is powered by a hamster running in one of those little wheels, nearly anything would be an improvement!

Dinner was very light, as I'm sure you can understand... crackers and Greek olive spread. Mmmmm....
I'm out of ice cream- dammitt!

Crackers and greek olive spread sounds wonderful.

I actually don't like Krispy Kremes. More for you.

Did you ever find out where the donuts came from?

According to their Web page (www.krispykreme.com (www.krispykreme.com), Wisconsin now has two stores. The second one's on Blue Mound Road in Brookfield: to you, that's still Milwaukee. Poor thing!
